Buying tickets step by step

What is Tikmesa?

Tikmesa is a place where local organizers sell tickets, tables and seats for their concerts, parties and shows. Each event is run by its organizer: they set the prices, the rules and the refund policy, and the money you pay goes straight to them.

We provide the website, the map of the venue, your passes with a QR code and the check-in at the door.

How do I buy tickets?
  1. Find the event on the home page or in Events, by name, artist, venue, city or category.
  2. Open it and go to Tickets. Choose the kind of ticket and how many, or pick your seat or table on the map.
  3. Press “Add to cart” (or “Add table”). The right-hand box shows the final price; press Next.
  4. At checkout write your full name, email and mobile phone, add a promo code if you have one and accept the terms of the event.
  5. Press “Continue to payment”, choose how you want to pay and follow the steps.
  6. When the payment is confirmed you see “You are on the list!” with your passes, and we email them to you.
Do I need an account to buy?

No. You can buy as a guest: your passes arrive by email and the order is remembered in My tickets on the device you used.

With a free account you get your passes on any device, your purchase history, favourites, waiting lists and reminders before each event. You can create it after buying, from the order page, with just a password. Create your account

How do I find events near me?

On the home page and in Events you can choose your city, search by name, artist or venue and filter by category. Tap the heart on an event to keep it in your favourites, and follow a venue or organizer from its page to hear about their new events. See all events

How many tickets can I buy?

Each organizer sets a minimum and a maximum per order for every kind of ticket; the counter does not let you go beyond them. A cart holds up to 10 lines.

To keep places fair for everyone, one buyer can have at most 3 unpaid orders waiting at the same time, and at most 2 orders of free tickets per event in a day.

What do the timed prices and “Only a few left” mean?

Some organizers sell in stages (for example Early Bird, then General). The card shows a countdown until the current price ends and the next price with its date. When fewer than ten places are left, you see how many remain.

Can I buy tickets for events of different organizers in one order?

Each organizer is paid directly with their own payment methods, so it works best to buy each organizer's tickets in a separate order. If your cart mixes organizers and no way to pay appears, remove the lines of one of them and buy them afterwards.

Tables, seats and maps

How do I choose my seat or table?

On the event page, open Tickets, choose Seats & tables and tap a free seat or table on the map. You can also let us pick the best available or the lowest price.

Use + and − or two fingers to zoom, and “View full map” to see it on the whole screen. The legend explains the colours; grey places are taken.

What is the difference between Seats & tables and Standing?

Seats & tables means a specific place on the map that is yours. Standing (general admission) gives you entry to the event without a fixed place. Some events offer both; some sell only one kind.

Some events have no map. How is my place chosen?

Some organizers sell without the map: you only choose the kind of ticket, or how many people for a table, and we assign you the best free table or seats, together. Your table or seat appears on your order and your pass.

How does a table work: minimum spend and deposit?

The price of a table is usually a minimum spend: what the group consumes at the venue. Many organizers ask for a deposit online today, and you pay the rest of the minimum spend at the venue.

Before paying you always see two amounts: “Pay today” and “At the venue”. Tap “More info” on a table to see its price breakdown and its terms.

Why can't I book a table for fewer people?

The organizer can set a minimum number of people for a table or sofa (for example, a sofa for 8 is not sold to 2). The counter starts at that minimum and cannot go lower online. If you are a smaller group, choose a smaller table or ask the organizer.

What is a shared table?

At a shared table the chairs are sold one by one, so different buyers can sit at the same table. You tap the chairs you want and each one is yours.

Are there wheelchair accessible places?

When the organizer marks a place as wheelchair accessible, it is shown on the map and in the window of that place. If you need help, call the venue: its phone is on the event page under Venue.

How long are my seats held?

Ten minutes from the moment you add them to the cart. When you continue to payment, the order keeps them for 15 more minutes while you choose how to pay.

If you pay by card on the provider's page, they stay held about 40 minutes. If you pay with a method the organizer checks (Zelle, transfer…), they stay held for the time the organizer set, shown on the payment page, and once you tell us you paid they stay held until the organizer checks it. If time runs out, the places go back on sale.

Paying

What payment methods can I use?

Each organizer chooses their own. On the payment page you see only the ones this organizer accepts, which can be:

  • Card, through the organizer's Stripe account (Visa, Mastercard, Amex…), confirmed at once.
  • PayPal or Mercado Pago through the organizer's account, confirmed at once.
  • Methods the organizer checks by hand: Zelle, PayPal to an email, Venmo, Cash App, Payoneer, Wise, bank transfer, Pago Móvil, Mercado Pago, Binance, USDT or other crypto, and others.
  • Cash in person, at the place and time the organizer indicates.
  • Pay at the door: you book now and pay when you arrive.
How does paying by card, PayPal or Mercado Pago work?

You are taken to the provider's secure page and pay there: your card details never reach us or the organizer. The money goes straight to the organizer's account and your order is confirmed as soon as the provider tells us.

If you paid but the page did not come back, open your order and press “I already paid: check”. It usually takes a few seconds.

How do I pay with Zelle, transfer, Pago Móvil, crypto or other manual methods?
  1. Choose the method on the payment page: you see the organizer's details (account, holder, phone, address…) and, sometimes, a payment link.
  2. Send exactly the amount shown in “Pay today”, and write your order number in the concept or note of the payment so the organizer finds it.
  3. Back on the payment page, fill in “I already paid”: the reference or confirmation number, an optional note and, if you can, a photo or screenshot of the payment. Press “Send notice”.
  4. The organizer checks that the money arrived and confirms it. Your passes appear on your order and arrive by email.

Pay before the time shown on the payment page, or the places are released. Once you send the notice they stay held until the organizer checks it.

How long does the organizer take to confirm a manual payment?

It depends on the organizer: they have to see the money in their account. Most confirm within hours. The reference and the screenshot help them find your payment sooner.

If it takes too long, contact the organizer with your order number. Their contact details and the venue's phone are on the event page.

I made a mistake in my payment notice. Can I fix it?

Yes. Open your order, press “See or correct my notice”, change the reference, the note or the photo and save. You can do it while the organizer has not checked it yet.

The organizer rejected my payment. What now?

Your order page says the order was cancelled and shows the organizer's reason (for example, the payment did not arrive). The places are released. If you did send the money, contact the organizer with your reference and screenshot.

What does “Pay at the door” mean?

Some organizers let you book now and pay when you arrive. You get your passes at once; at the door the staff collect the amount shown (cash, card or the ways the venue accepts) before letting you in. It is paid once for the whole order.

Because these bookings take places without paying, one buyer can hold at most 2 of them per event. If you will not go, tell the organizer so they can free your places.

What happens if I pay after my time ran out?

Your order shows “We are checking your payment”. The organizer checks that your places were not sold to someone else meanwhile: if they are free, your passes are issued; if not, the organizer gives you back your money.

Is paying here safe?

Card payments happen on the page of Stripe, PayPal or Mercado Pago, never on ours, and every page uses HTTPS. With manual methods you send money straight to the organizer, so check that the details are the ones shown on this site and never pay anyone who contacts you on their own.

Prices and fees

What does the price include?

Prices include every fee. For tables you pay a deposit today and the rest of the minimum spend at the venue.

The price you see on the ticket card is the final price: service charges and taxes set by the organizer are already inside. Tap “More info” to see the breakdown line by line.

Will anything be added at the end?

No surprises: the total in “Final price” is what you pay today. The only other amount is “At the venue”, the rest of a table's minimum spend, shown before you pay.

How do promo codes work?

Write the code in “Promo code (optional)” at checkout. The discount (a percentage or an amount off each ticket) appears on the next step. One code per order; codes can have a limited number of uses and dates.

In which currency do I pay?

In the currency of the venue, shown next to every price. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts it.

Your tickets and passes

Where are my tickets?

In three places: on your order page (keep its address: it is the key to your order), in the confirmation email “Your passes”, and in My tickets on the device you bought with. With an account, also in My account → My tickets on any device. Open My tickets

What is a pass?

A pass is your ticket: a QR code with a short code underneath. Each code works once at the door. A table pass can admit several people (it says how many).

Can I print my passes or save them as PDF?

Yes. On your order page use “Save as PDF” or “Print passes”. The confirmation email also brings them. A clear screenshot works too.

Can I add my passes to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

When this site has the wallets turned on, your order shows “Add to Apple Wallet” on each pass and “Save to Google Wallet”. If you do not see the buttons, they are not available yet: use the PDF or a screenshot.

How do I add the event to my calendar?

Press “Add to calendar” on your order or on a shared pass. It downloads a calendar file that opens in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook with the date, time and address.

I bought several tickets. How do I give each friend their own?

When an order has several passes, each pass has its own “Pass link”. Copy it and send it to each friend by WhatsApp or email: they see only their pass, can write their name on it and come in on their own.

Do not share the address of your order page: it gives access to all the passes of the order.

I booked a table. Do my guests have to arrive with me?

No. Under your table pass, use “Make guest passes”: choose how many and, if you want, their names. Each guest gets a link with their own pass and comes in when they arrive. The places come off your table pass, and you always keep yours.

Some venues ask the person who booked the table to come in first (for example, to pay the balance). In that case the guest's pass says so.

A guest can no longer come. Can I take back their pass?

Yes, while it was not used: press “Take back” next to the guest. Their link stops working and the place goes back to your table pass, so you can give it to someone else.

Can I transfer or resell my tickets?

There is no resale marketplace on Tikmesa, and some events cap how many tickets one person can get. To give a ticket to someone, send them its pass link (or the PDF). If you shared a pass by mistake, press “New code” on that pass in your order: the old code and every copy or screenshot stop working at once. If you cannot go, ask the organizer for a refund from your order page.

Never buy passes from strangers: a pass that was already used, refunded or copied will not get in.

I did not get the email or I lost it. How do I get my passes?
  • Check your spam or promotions folder and search for your order number.
  • Open My tickets on the device you bought with: the order is saved there.
  • If you bought signed in, or saved the order in your account, open My account → My tickets.
  • If you wrote your email wrong or still cannot find it, contact the organizer with your name and phone: they can correct the email and send the passes again.
Does My tickets work without an account?

Yes, but only on the device and browser you used: it keeps your orders and favourites there. If you clear the browser or change phone, they disappear from that list (your email still has your passes). Create an account to keep them everywhere: the orders of the device come with you.

At the door

What do I show at the door?

The QR code of your pass, on your phone (with the screen bright) or printed. The staff scan it with a phone or search for you by name or order. Have a screenshot in case there is no signal.

Do I need ID?

If the event has a minimum age, the event page shows it (for example 18+ with valid photo ID) and the venue can ask for your ID. Bring it to be safe.

Is there a dress code?

Each event can have its own dress code, shown on the event page under Dress code. The same venue can host an elegant night and a casual one, so check it for every event. The venue decides at the door.

Can a table pass let in my group in several turns?

Yes. The staff ask how many come in now; the rest can come in later with the same pass until it is full.

The door says my pass was already used. Why?

Each code works once. If someone else got your pass (a forwarded email, a screenshot) and arrived first, they came in with it. The door shows when it was used. Talk to the staff or the organizer, and never share your passes in public.

What time should I arrive?

The event page and your pass show the start time and, when the organizer gives it, the time the doors open. All times are in the venue's local time.

Changes, cancellations, refunds and waitlist

Can I get a refund?

Each organizer sets the refund policy of its events; you will find it under Terms on the event page.

Open your order (the link in your email, or My tickets) and, under “Need a refund?”, write why and press “Send request”. The organizer answers from their panel and you get the answer by email. If they approve it, what you paid by card, PayPal or Mercado Pago goes back to the same account (banks take 5 to 10 business days to show it); what you paid by Zelle, transfer, cash or another manual method the organizer gives back to you directly. Your passes stop working.

I paid by Zelle, cash or transfer. How do I get my refund?

The organizer gives it back the same way you paid, within 7 days of the refund. Your order page shows the date and, once they send it, the reference. Press “I received it” when it arrives, or “It did not arrive” if it does not: the organizer and Tikmesa are told and follow it until you have your money.

I am in Argentina. Can I undo my purchase?

Yes, with the withdrawal button at the bottom of every page: within 10 calendar days of receiving the tickets, at least 24 hours before the show and with no ticket used. Write your order number and the email of the purchase; if it applies, the order is cancelled at once and you get a request code right away.

Can I cancel my order myself?

An unpaid order cancels itself when its time runs out, and the places are released. For a paid order, send a refund request from your order page: only the organizer can approve it. A pass that was already used at the door cannot be refunded.

The event was cancelled. What happens?

You do not need to ask: when the organizer cancels the event, every paid order is refunded at once through the same way it was paid, and you get an email. Card, PayPal and Mercado Pago refunds take 5 to 10 business days to show in your bank; if you paid by Zelle, transfer or cash, the organizer returns it to you the same way. Your passes stop working.

The event changed its date or time. Are my passes still valid?

Yes: your passes work for the new date. If you have an account, we tell you with an alert. If you cannot go on the new date, ask the organizer about a refund.

The event is sold out. Is there a waiting list?

Yes. Sign in and press “Tell me if tickets come back” on the event page. If places are released (an expired reservation, a refund, new tickets), we alert you. The list does not reserve anything: the first one to buy gets them, so go quickly.

Can I change my seat, table or date after buying?

Not by yourself. Ask the organizer: they can refund your order so you buy again, or help you at the venue.

Can I correct my name or email on an order?

The organizer can, from their panel, and send the passes again to the right email. Write to them with your order number. Friends with a pass link can write their own name on their pass.

Your account and alerts

How do I create an account?

Go to Sign in → Create your account, or use the box on your order page after buying. You need your name, your email and a password of 8 characters or more. We send you an email to confirm your address. Create your account

How do I move orders I bought without an account into my account?

Sign in on the same device: your account page offers “Save them in my account”. You can also open an order and press “Save in my account”. An order already saved in another account stays there.

What is in my account?
  • My tickets: active tickets, expired ones, and a bin for orders you removed from the list (their passes keep working).
  • History: every purchase, also the cancelled and refunded ones, with what you paid online.
  • Favourites: the events you saved, and the venues and organizers you follow.
  • Alerts: reminders and news about your events and favourites.
  • Profile: your photo, details, language, alerts, email, password, devices and your data.
Which alerts can I get?

Reminders a week and a day before your events; your favourites going on sale, about to go on sale or nearly sold out; new events of venues and organizers you follow; tickets back for an event you wait for; and changes of date or cancellations of your events, which we always tell you.

Choose them in Profile → Alerts, and tick “Also by email” to receive them by email once your email is confirmed. Choose your alerts

I forgot my password.

On Sign in press “Forgot your password?” and write your email. We send you a link that works once and for one hour. When you save the new password, your other devices are signed out. Reset your password

My confirmation link does not work.

Confirmation links work for 7 days and only once. Sign in and ask for a new one from your account.

How do I change my email, password or phone?

In Profile. Changing the email or the password asks for your current password. Changing the password signs out your other devices.

How long do I stay signed in? I lost my phone.

You stay signed in for 30 days on each device. If you lost a phone or used someone else's computer, go to Profile → Devices → “Sign out on other devices”. After many failed attempts, signing in is paused for a few minutes.

How do I follow a venue or an organizer?

Press Follow on the venue page or at the end of an event page. You find them in Favourites, where you can unfollow them.

Promoter links

I bought through a promoter's link. Does it change anything for me?

No. You pay the same price and get the same passes. The link only tells the organizer which promoter brought you, so they can pay them their commission. If you opened several links, the last one you opened counts, if you buy within 7 days.

How do I become a promoter for an organizer?

Organizers invite their promoters. The organizer sends you an invitation link for your email; open it signed in with an account of that same email (or create it) and accept. Then My account → Promoter shows your link, your sales, what you earn and your withdrawals.

As a promoter, when can I withdraw my commission?

A commission counts when the order is paid and stays pending until 3 days after the event (in case of refunds). Then it is available: choose one of the ways the organizer offers, write your details and ask for the withdrawal. If the order is refunded or cancelled, its commission is taken back.

The organizer marked my withdrawal as paid, but the money did not arrive.

In your portal, on that withdrawal, press “It did not arrive” and tell us what happened. The claim reaches the platform team, who look at the reference and the photo, ask both sides and close it. If it arrived, press “I received it”. Nothing in your movements can be changed or deleted, by the organizer or by us.

Privacy, phone and your data

Why do you ask for my mobile phone?

Only for this order: the organizer may call or text you about changes, cancellations or your table. Write it with the country code (choose it in the list). We never sell it.

Will I get advertising?

Only if you say yes. At checkout there is a separate, unchecked box to receive news and offers from that organizer by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Without it, nobody may send you promotions. You can unsubscribe from any message or ask us to remove your consent.

Who sees my data?

The organizer of the event you bought for sees your name, email, phone and passes, to let you in and to reach you. Our payment, email and hosting providers process it on our behalf. Nobody else, unless the law requires it. Privacy policy

How do I download or delete my data?

In Profile → Your data: “Download my data” gives you a file with your details, orders, favourites, follows and alerts. “Delete my account” deletes your account, favourites, follows and alerts; it cannot be undone.

Your orders stay with the organizers, because they are sales they must keep, and your passes keep working from your emails. For anything else about your data, write to us: we answer within 30 days.

Which cookies do you use?

Only the ones the site needs: your session, your language, your cart and, if you open a promoter's link, which promoter it was. No advertising cookies.

Languages

How do I change the language?

Press the language button at the top (or at the bottom of any page) and choose one of the 35 languages; you can search by name. The whole site, your emails and your passes come in the language you choose. With an account, you can also set it in Profile. Choose your language

Why is the event description in another language?

We translate the site, but the title, description, terms and dress code of each event are written by its organizer, in their language.

Safety and fraud

Can a pass be faked?

No. Every code carries a signature that only the platform knows: a made-up or changed code shows as not valid at the door. And each pass gets in once, even if two doors read it at the same time.

How do I avoid scams?
  • Buy only on this site, from the event page. Passes bought elsewhere may be copies or already used.
  • Pay only with the methods shown on the payment page of your order, and write your order number in the payment.
  • Nobody from Tikmesa will ask you for your password, your card or a payment by message.
  • Do not post your QR code on social media: whoever has it can use it.
I think someone used my pass or my account.

Change your password and sign out on other devices from Profile. For a pass, contact the organizer with your order number: the door records when each pass was used.

Troubleshooting

The checkout does not work.

Checkout needs JavaScript and keeps your cart in this browser: turn JavaScript on, do not use private windows that block storage, and finish on the same device where you chose your seats.

It says my cart is empty or my reservation expired.

Your places were held for a few minutes and the time ran out, so they went back on sale. Go back to the event and choose them again, if they are still free.

It says I have several orders waiting for payment.

You can have at most 3 unpaid orders at once. Pay them or let them expire (or ask the organizer to cancel them) before starting another.

The map does not load or I cannot tap a seat.

Reload the page and check your connection. Grey places are taken. If you still cannot, choose Best available or Lowest price, or buy a Standing ticket if there is one.

I was charged but I have no passes.

Open your order: if it says “Waiting for your payment”, press “Go to payment” and then “I already paid: check”. If it says “We are checking your payment”, the organizer is reviewing it. If nothing changes, write to the organizer with your order number and the payment receipt.

Online sales are closed for an event.

The organizer paused or closed online sales, the event is sold out, or it already started a while ago. Tickets may still be sold at the venue's box office: check the event page or call the venue.

Who do I contact?

For anything about an event (refunds, changes, tables, payments you sent), contact its organizer: the venue's phone and address are on the event page. For problems with the site or your account, write to us. Contact us

For organizers

Everything about selling your events with Tikmesa, from the free trial to the night of the event.

What Tikmesa is

What does Tikmesa do for an organizer?

It is your online box office: a public page for each event, tickets, tables and seats on your venue's own map, checkout, passes with a QR code by email, door check-in with your phone, box office sales, guest passes, promo codes, promoters with their own links, reports and your team, all from one panel.

Do you take a cut of my tickets?

No. Buyers pay you through your own methods (card with your Stripe, PayPal, Mercado Pago, Zelle, cash…), and the money goes straight to you. Tikmesa only charges the monthly or yearly plan. The service charges and taxes you choose to add to your prices are yours as well.

Do I need to install anything?

No. The site and the panel work in the browser of a computer, tablet or phone. On a phone you can add the page to your home screen from the browser menu to open it like an app.

Where is my panel?

At /admin on this site. Sign in with your email and password; after 8 failed attempts the account locks for 15 minutes. Sign in to your panel

Plans and the 30-day free trial

How much does it cost?
  • Basic: $39 per month or $390 per year. Unlimited events and general admission tickets; online sales, box office and door check-in with your phone; your own payment methods; sales reports, attendee lists and promo codes.
  • Pro: $99 per month or $990 per year. Everything in Basic, plus tables, seats and your venue's map; promoters with their own links and commissions; team roles and priority support.
  • Own brand: a custom price for your domain and brand on every page, custom design and features, and help moving your events and data. Talk to us.

The yearly plan costs ten months: two months free. Prices are in US dollars. There are no fees per ticket. See plans and prices

How does the 30-day free trial work?
  1. You choose a plan and a billing period and create your account. Today you pay $0.
  2. You add a card on the payment provider's page. Your 30 free days start when the card is saved.
  3. During the 30 days you use the whole plan: create events, sell, check people in at the door. Nothing is charged.
  4. Three days before the end we email you a reminder with the date and the amount.
  5. On day 30, when the trial ends, we charge the plan to your card automatically, and then the same amount every month (or every year) on the same day, until you cancel. You get a receipt after every charge.

Your Membership page always shows how many trial days are left, the date of the first charge, the amount and the card it goes to.

Why do you ask for a card if the trial is free?

So the plan goes on without interruptions when the trial ends, and so each organizer gets one trial. The card is kept by the payment provider; we only see its brand and last four digits.

How do I avoid being charged?

Cancel before the trial ends: in your panel, Membership → Cancel trial. One click, no calls. If you cancel during the trial, nothing is ever charged, and online sales of your events stop.

Can I get another trial with a new account?

No: the trial is once per organizer. A card, email, phone or device that already had a trial starts the plan paid from the first day: you are charged when you add the card. Too many trials from the same network address, or throwaway email addresses, are not accepted either.

To check this we keep a one-way code of the card, email, phone, browser and network address: it cannot be turned back into the data. Membership tells you if the free trial was not applied and why. In some cases an account waits for a review: we email you within one business day and nothing is charged meanwhile.

Which plan should I choose?

Basic if you sell general admission tickets. Pro if you sell tables, sofas or numbered seats on your venue's map, work with promoters or have a team with different roles: on Basic, creating those asks you to move to Pro (what you already made keeps working). During the free trial you have everything. You can change plan at any time.

Billing, invoices and cancelling

How do I change plan or billing period?

Membership → Change plan. During the trial the change applies at once. After it, the new price applies from the next charge: the period you already paid is not changed.

How do I cancel my membership?

Membership → Cancel membership. It keeps working until the end of the period you paid, and nothing more is charged. Then online sales of your events are paused; tickets already sold stay valid and the door keeps working.

We do not refund the part of a period already paid. If you think a charge was a mistake, write to us.

I cancelled by mistake. Can I go back?

Yes. Before the period ends, press “Keep my membership” and it simply goes on. A trial cancelled in time goes on until its end. Once it ended, Reactivate charges a new period today and online sales start again.

What happens if a charge fails?

We email you and retry every day for 7 days. Meanwhile everything keeps working and Membership shows the date when online sales would stop. Update your card there (Change card) to fix it at once.

If the card still cannot be charged after 7 days, the membership ends and online sales of your events pause. Tickets already sold stay valid, the door keeps working and your data is kept. Add a card and press Reactivate to sell again.

Where are my invoices and receipts?

Membership → Invoices lists every charge with its date, period, amount and status, and we email a receipt after each one. If you need a document with your company's tax details, write to us.

Who can manage the membership and the card?

Only an owner of the account can add or change the card, change plan, cancel or reactivate. Managers and box office staff can see the page.

What can I do in the panel if my membership is not active?

You can open Membership (to add a card or reactivate), Security and the Door, so people with tickets always get in. The rest of the panel opens again when the membership is active.

  2. Fill in your company, venue or brand, your name, email, mobile phone with the country code, country and a password of 12 characters or more.
  3. Read “What you agree to”: it shows today's amount, the date and amount of the first charge, the reminder and how to cancel. Accept the terms, the privacy policy and the automatic charge.
  4. Press “Create account and add card” and save your card on the provider's page.
  5. You land in your panel, with your trial running (or your first period paid).

If sign-ups are closed for now, write to us and we will open your account. Create your organizer account

What is my phone used for?

Only for your account: support and security notices, and to give each organizer one free trial.

I closed the page before adding the card.

Sign in to your panel: Membership shows “Add your card to start”. Your trial starts when the card is saved.

I already have a buyer account. Is it the same?

No. Buyer accounts (My account) and the organizers panel are separate sign-ins, even with the same email.

What are the steps to start selling?
  1. Payment methods: connect Stripe, PayPal or Mercado Pago, or add a manual method such as Zelle or cash. Without at least one, buyers cannot pay.
  2. Venues → New venue: name, city, address, time zone and currency. Draw its plan if you sell tables or seats (you can do it later).
  3. Events → New event: title, venue, category, date and time, doors, minimum age, description, lineup, terms and dress code. Leave it as Draft.
  4. Inside the event, New offer: what you sell (tickets, tables or seats), price and quantities.
  5. Check it with “View on the site”, then change the status to Published and the sales to On sale.
  6. Share the event link (WhatsApp, Instagram, your promoters' links) and open the Door on the day.
What do status, sales and visibility mean?
  • Status: Draft (nobody sees it), Published or Cancelled (its passes stop working).
  • Sales: On sale, Paused, Sold out or Closed. Only On sale sells online; the box office keeps working until the event ends.
  • Visibility: Home page and search, Search only, or Only with the link (for private events).

Online sales close at the end time of the event or, if it has none, 12 hours after the start. All times are in the venue's time zone.

How do I repeat a weekly party?

Open the event and press Duplicate. You only choose the new date and time: all its tickets, tables, prices and sales periods are copied. The copy is saved as a draft so you check it before publishing.

Can I set a dress code or a minimum age?

Yes, per event. The dress code is for this event only, because the same venue can host a gala night and a casual one. The minimum age shows on the event page as “18+ with valid photo ID” (or the age you set).

Venues and the map builder

How do I add my venue?

Venues → New venue. Write the name, city and address, or find it on Google Maps (or paste its Google Maps link) so buyers get the exact spot. Choose the time zone and currency carefully: they cannot change once the venue has events. Add the phone, box office, parking and how to get in: buyers see them.

I do not know how to draw the map. Can I upload a sketch?

Yes. In the plan of your venue, open the Plan tab and press “Upload a sketch”: a PDF, a photo of a drawing on paper or a PNG. Tables, seats and rows, areas, the stage, bars, services and walls are recognised and drawn in the same place, with the names you wrote. Your drawing stays underneath to compare.

Then change whatever you want and press Save: nothing is saved before. For the best result draw with a dark pen on white paper, write the names inside or next to each place, and take the photo from above with good light. You can read up to 20 drawings a day.

How do I draw the plan of my venue?

Press “Create and draw the plan” (or Edit plan). Start from a template (Nightclub, Theatre, Banquet, Lounge and terrace) or from scratch, and add elements from the left: tables, sofas, booths, seats, areas, stage, bars, exits and more. Drag to move, use the handles to resize and rotate, and press Save plan.

For each place set its name, how it is sold (whole, single seat, area or decoration), people, minimum people, section, a note for buyers and whether it is wheelchair accessible. You draw the plan once and every event at the venue uses it.

Are there shortcuts for big rooms?

Yes: select several elements to change them together, repeat one in rows and columns (copies are numbered for you), number a selection in order, align and distribute, and put a photo of the real plan underneath to trace it. Undo, redo and keyboard shortcuts work as in any editor.

I added tables to the plan but they are not on sale.

The plan says what the venue has; the offer of each event says what is sold and at what price. Edit the event's offer and tick the new tables in “Tables and seats of the plan”.

Why can't I delete or change a place?

A place that is part of an offer cannot be deleted: remove it from the offer first. A place with sales for an upcoming event cannot change how it is sold or lose chairs, but you can move it, change its drawing or give it more chairs. The editor tells you which one and why.

How do I hold back a table for the artist's guests?

In the event, under “Map of this event”, block a table or seat (and write who it is held for) or hide it from the map. This only affects that event, not the venue's plan. Places already taken cannot be changed.

Can I use a venue I do not own?

Yes, if the platform shares it: shared venues appear in your list marked “Shared by the platform” and you can create events in them, but only the platform changes their plan.

Ticket types, tables, seats and deposits

What kinds of offers can I sell?
  • General admission ticket: sold by quantity until the tickets for sale run out.
  • Whole table (minimum spend): tables, sofas, booths and boxes. The price is the minimum spend; you can take a deposit online and the rest at the venue. The buyer says how many people come.
  • Seats (price per seat): numbered seats; at a shared table different buyers take chairs of the same table.
How do deposits for tables work?

In the offer, set the price as the minimum spend and a deposit percentage. Buyers pay the deposit online and see the rest as “At the venue”. Your panel shows it as “To collect at the venue”, and you collect it there.

How do I set minimums and maximums?

In each offer: tickets for sale, minimum and maximum per order, and for tables the guests per table. The minimum people of a table or sofa is set on its place in the plan: the website does not let anyone book it for fewer people (the box office can).

How do I sell in stages (Early Bird, then General)?

Create one offer per stage with the same Group name and the sales start and end dates of each. Buyers see one card with a countdown and the next price.

How do fees and taxes work?

In each offer choose a fee profile (service charge, taxes, processing fee) or No fees. Buyers always see the final price with everything included, and a breakdown in More info. To set up a new fee profile, write to us.

Can I sell without letting buyers pick on the map?

Yes: turn on “Sell without the map” in the event. Buyers only choose the kind of ticket (and how many people for a table) and get the best free table or seats.

Can table guests come in on their own?

Yes: buyers can hand out a pass to each guest of their table. If your venue wants the person who booked to arrive first (for example to pay the balance), tick “guests with their own pass wait until the person who booked comes in” in the offer.

If I change a price, what happens to sold tickets?

Nothing: each order keeps the price of the moment of purchase. An offer marked hidden is not sold online but your team can still use it at the box office or for guest passes.

Can I oversell?

No. The website, the box office and guest passes share the same stock, and two buyers can never take the last place at the same time.

Payment methods and your own accounts

How do buyers pay me?

With the methods you set up in Payment methods. The money goes straight to you: Tikmesa never holds it and takes no fee per ticket. There are two kinds: automatic accounts (Stripe, PayPal, Mercado Pago), confirmed at once; and manual methods (Zelle, transfer, cash…), which you confirm.

How do I connect Stripe?

In Stripe go to Developers → API keys and copy the Secret key. Paste it in Payment methods → Stripe and press Connect and check. Keys that start with sk_test_ let you try it without real money; use the live key to sell.

How do I connect PayPal?

In developer.paypal.com open Apps & Credentials → your app, and copy the Client ID and the Secret. Paste them, choose Sandbox (tests) or Live (real payments) and press Connect and check.

How do I connect Mercado Pago?

In Mercado Pago open Your integrations → your app → Credentials and copy the Access token. Test credentials start with TEST-. Paste it and press Connect and check.

Are my keys safe? Do I need the webhook?

Your keys are stored encrypted and never shown again; leave the field empty to keep the saved one. We recommend adding the webhook address shown on the page in your provider's account: payments are then confirmed even if the buyer closes the page.

How do I add Zelle, transfer, cash or another manual method?

Payment methods → New payment method. Choose the kind (Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Payoneer, Wise, bank transfer, Pago Móvil, Mercado Pago, Binance, crypto, cash, pay at the door or other), the name buyers see, your details one per line, an optional payment link, and the hours to pay.

  • Zelle: email or phone and the holder's name.
  • Pago Móvil: bank, phone and ID number.
  • Bank transfer: bank, account and holder.
  • Crypto (USDT, Binance…): network and address.
  • Cash: where and when.

You can have up to 20 methods and turn each one off or on. A method already used by orders cannot be deleted: turn it off instead.

What are the “hours to pay”?

From 1 to 168 hours: how long the places stay held for a buyer who chose that method, counted from the order. Once the buyer tells us they paid, the places stay held until you check it.

How does “pay at the door” work for me?

Add a method of the kind “pay at the door”. Buyers get their passes at once without paying; at the door the scanner says “Collect” with the amount, you choose how they paid and let them in. It is collected once per order. Each buyer can hold at most 2 unpaid door bookings per event.

Confirming manual payments

How do I confirm a Zelle, transfer or cash payment?
  1. Open Payments to check. The dashboard also tells you how many are waiting.
  2. For each one you see the order, the buyer, the amount, the reference, the note and the photo of the payment.
  3. Check in your bank or app that the money arrived (the order number should be in the concept).
  4. Press “Money received: confirm”. The buyer gets their passes at once by email and on their order.
The money did not arrive. What do I do?

Press Reject and write why (the buyer sees it), for example “The payment did not arrive”. The order is cancelled and the places are freed for others.

What is an order “in review”?

A buyer paid after their reservation expired, so someone else may have bought those places meanwhile. Open the order and press “Check and approve”: if the places are still free, its passes are issued; if not, it tells you which one is taken and you can refund it.

Box office and guest passes

How do I sell at the box office?

From the Door press “Sell at the box office” (or Guest passes in the event). Choose Box office sale, how it was paid (cash, card, transfer, Zelle, PayPal, Pago Móvil…), how many of each offer, and the name; the email is optional and, if you write it, the passes are sent there. The passes are ready at once, at full price and without online fee.

You can sell even if online sales are paused or closed, as long as the event has not ended. Tables and seats go to the best place available; for a specific table, block it on the event map for that person or sell it from the public map.

How do I give guest passes?

Same page, choose Guest pass: free passes for the artist's guests, promoters or press. They use the same stock as sales and show in the report as guest passes. Owners and managers can give them.

Door check-in with your phone

How do I check people in?

Open Door in the menu: it goes straight to your next event. Then:

  • On a phone, press “Use the camera”, allow it and point at the QR code.
  • On a computer, a USB or Bluetooth scanner types the code by itself.
  • Or search by name, email or order and press Let in.

The counter at the top shows how many people are inside of all those with passes. Several phones can check in at the same time.

What does each result mean?
  • Let in: the pass is valid. For a table, choose how many come in now; the rest can come later.
  • Collect: booked to pay at the door; collect the amount before letting them in.
  • Wait for the host: the venue asks the person who booked the table to come in first.
  • Already used: shows when and by whom. Do not let them in.
  • Cancelled pass: the order was refunded or cancelled.
  • Order not paid: send them to the box office.
  • Event cancelled, or Pass for another event: it does not get in here.
  • Not valid: not one of our passes, or misread. Try again or search by name.
I let someone in by mistake.

Press Undo and the pass works again. Box office staff can undo for 10 minutes; owners and managers at any time.

The camera does not open.

Allow the camera for this site in your browser settings; it only works on secure (HTTPS) pages. Meanwhile, type the code or search by name.

What if the internet goes down at the door?

Checking needs a connection, so that no pass gets in twice. Use your phone's mobile data and, if needed, write down the names and check them in by name when the connection comes back.

Orders, refunds, cancellations and date changes

Where do I see my orders?

In Orders, newest first. Search by number, email or name and filter by status (paid, waiting for payment, in review, cancelled, refunded). Each order shows the customer, whether they accept promotions, the amounts paid online and to collect at the venue, the channel (online, box office or guest pass) and its passes.

A buyer says the email never arrived or has a typo.

Open the order → Customer support. Fix the name, email or phone, tick “Send the passes to this email” and save, or press “Send the confirmation again”. Check with the customer first: changing the email hands the passes to that address.

How do I refund an order?

Open the paid order → Refund, write a reason if you want and confirm. What was paid through your Stripe, PayPal or Mercado Pago goes back automatically through that provider. For manual methods the order is marked refunded and you give the money back yourself, the same way it came.

Every pass of the order is cancelled and its tickets, tables and seats go back on sale. It cannot be undone, and an order with a pass already used at the door cannot be refunded.

How do I cancel an unpaid order?

Open it and press Cancel order: its places are free at once instead of when it expires.

How do I cancel a whole event?

Edit the event and, at the bottom, use “Cancel the event and refund everyone”: write the reason for the buyers and type CANCEL. It takes the event off sale, voids every pass, refunds paid orders through your Stripe, PayPal or Mercado Pago, cancels orders waiting for payment and emails each buyer. Orders paid by Zelle, cash or another method of yours are listed for you to return by hand, and orders with a pass already used are listed to check one by one.

How do I add the event's poster?

Save the event, then in its editor use Poster → Upload poster. Any photo works (JPEG, PNG, from the phone too): it is resized on your device and saved without its metadata. Horizontal images (3:2) look best. Venues have a logo the same way, in the venue's editor.

How do refund requests work?

Buyers ask from their order page with a reason. You see them in Refund requests (the menu shows it to owners and managers). Approve to refund the order through the same way it was paid and void its passes, or decline with an answer. Either way the buyer gets an email, and every decision is recorded.

Can I limit how many tickets one person buys?

Yes. In the event, set “Tickets per buyer”. It counts every order of the same email or the same phone, so a reseller cannot get around it with several orders. Leave it empty for no limit; each ticket type can still have its own maximum per order.

A buyer says someone else used their pass. What can they do?

Each code lets in once, so whoever arrives first with it gets in. Tell buyers to press “New code” on the pass in their order if they shared it by mistake: the old code and every copy stop working at once. At the door, the scan shows when a pass was used and by which staff member.

How do I change the date or time of an event?

Edit the event and change the start. Passes already sold keep working for the new date, and buyers with an account get an alert. Tell everyone else by email or phone, and refund those who cannot come if your policy says so.

Where do I write my refund policy?

In the Terms of each event (and of each offer if needed). Buyers see it under Terms on the event page and accept it at checkout.

How do I give back a refund paid by Zelle, cash or transfer?

When you refund an order paid by hand, you have 7 days to give the money back the same way. Do it, then open the order → Refund by hand, write the reference (or who handed over the cash and where), add a photo if you have one and press Mark as sent. The buyer gets an email and confirms on their order page whether it arrived.

Refund requests lists everything still to give back. We remind you two days before the date and every three days once it is late. If the buyer says it did not arrive, check it and mark it as sent again with the new reference; the platform sees late refunds and claims.

A buyer disputed a payment with their bank (chargeback). What do I do?

When you sell with your own Stripe, PayPal or Mercado Pago, Tikmesa follows each payment after the sale. If the buyer's bank opens a dispute, you get an email, the order shows a warning and its passes stop getting in at the door until it is resolved. If it is won, they work again; if it is lost, the order is marked refunded and its passes no longer work.

Answer the dispute in your provider's dashboard before its deadline. On the order, “Evidence for the dispute” prepares a page to print or save as PDF with what was bought, the terms the buyer accepted, the emails with the passes and their use at the door. Add the webhook shown in Payment methods so disputes and refunds made in your dashboard arrive at once; without it they are checked once a day.

Promo codes

How do I create a promo code?

Promo codes → New code. Write the code (for example SUMMER20), choose Percentage off or Amount off each ticket and the value, all your events or one, and optionally the maximum uses and the dates. Press Create code and share it.

How do I know if a code works?

The list shows how many times each code was used and how much it discounted; the report of each event shows the total of promo code discounts. You can turn a code off at any time.

Promoters

How do promoter links work?

Promoters → New promoter: a name and a code for the link (letters and numbers). Their link works for any page; to send people to an event, add ?rp=code to its address. A sale counts for the promoter whose link the buyer opened last, if they pay within 7 days. You see who sells what in the list and in each event's report.

How do I set commissions?

Open the promoter → Commission: none, a percentage of the ticket price before fees, or an amount per ticket, seat or table. The rate is frozen on every sale: changing it only applies to sales from now on.

Commissions count only on orders really paid, wait until 3 days after the event and are taken back if the order is refunded or cancelled. You can add a bonus or a deduction with a reason; nothing can be edited or deleted, every correction is a new line that the promoter sees too.

How do promoters see their sales and get paid?
  1. In the promoter's page, write their email, press Invite and send them the link: they open it signed in with an account of that email (or create it). The link works for 7 days.
  2. In “How you pay them”, tick the ways you pay (cash, Zelle, PayPal, transfer, Pago Móvil, crypto…). They choose one and write their details.
  3. They ask for a withdrawal of what is available. Pay it and press Mark paid with the reference and, if you have it, a photo; for cash, who handed it over and where.
  4. They confirm it arrived. If you reject a withdrawal, the money goes back to their balance.
What if a promoter says a payment did not arrive?

They open a claim, which reaches the platform team. We look at the reference and the photo, ask both sides and close it as paid or not paid; if not paid, the money goes back to the promoter. Both sides see how it was solved.

How do you protect me from promoter fraud?

Commissions are only earned on paid orders and are taken back on refunds and cancellations, and they wait 3 days after the event before they can be withdrawn. Promoters with many refunded or cancelled sales are flagged in your list so you check them before paying. You can turn a link off, or remove a promoter (their history is archived).

Team and roles

How do I invite my team?

Team → Invite someone: write their email and choose the role. Copy the link and send it (it works once, for 7 days), or tick to send it by email. They open it, choose a password and join your panel. To send a lost link again, create the invitation again.

What can each role do?
  • Owner: everything, including the team and the membership.
  • Manager: events, offers, venues and maps, orders, refunds, guest passes, promo codes and reports.
  • Box office: sees orders and attendees, sells at the box office and checks passes at the door.

There must always be at least one owner. Removing someone's access takes effect at once.

I work for several organizers.

With one account you can be on several teams; choose which organizer you work with at the top of the panel.

Two-step verification and security

How do I turn on two-step verification?

Install an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password…). In Security, write your password, press “Set up two-step verification”, scan the QR code and type the 6-digit code. From then on every sign-in asks for a code from your app. For some accounts it is mandatory and cannot be turned off.

How long do panel sessions last?

They end after 2 hours without use and after 12 hours in any case. If you lost a phone or used someone else's computer, press “Sign out everywhere else” in Security. The Team page shows who has two-step verification on.

How do you protect my data and my buyers' data?

Passwords are stored with Argon2id, payment keys and secrets are encrypted, every connection uses HTTPS and staff access is limited by role and recorded. Card numbers never reach us.

Reports and CSV exports

What does the sales report show?

Open an event → Report: sold, collected online, collected at the box office, to collect at the venue, total sales, guest passes, promo code discounts, refunds and people inside; a chart of sales by day; and tables by offer, by promoter, by channel and box office by payment.

How do I export for accounting?

In the report, “Export for accounting (CSV)” downloads every order line: date, status, channel, payment method, customer, offer, table or seat, subtotal, service, discount, total, paid, to collect, promo code and currency. In the event, Attendees → Download CSV gives the attendee list with whether each one accepts promotions. Both open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

Where do I see how much I sold in cash?

In the event's report, table “Box office by payment”. The dashboard shows totals for all your events.

Emails

Which emails does Tikmesa send for me?

Order confirmations with the passes (QR and PDF attached), resends and team invitations. Buyers with an account also get the alerts they chose. You get your membership emails: welcome, trial reminder, receipts and failed charges.

Where can I see the emails that were sent?

In Emails: open each one to see it as the person received it, its attachments and its status. While no email provider is connected, emails wait there (outbox) and go out by themselves when one is connected.

Can I send newsletters or SMS campaigns from Tikmesa?

Not yet. Export your attendees and use your own tool, writing only to buyers who accept promotions.
